Disney Shares First Look at “Star Wars: Resistance” Crew Team Aces

In just a few weeks, the newest Star Wars TV series, Star Wars: Resistance will debut on Disney Channel. Disney has already released the first trailer, and given fans a sneak peek at the Fireball Crew. Today, they are introducing audiences to some of the other racers on Colossus: Team Aces.

What's happening: 

  • Disney and Star Wars have released a second sneak peek video featuring the cast of Star Wars: Resistance.
  • This time, fans get a first look highlighting another group of elite racers who are known as Team Aces.
  • The team consists of four incredibly talented pilots who along with Team Fireball both work on and defend the Colossus.
Team Aces:

  • Torra Doza (played by Myrna Velasco)
  • Myrna Velasco on Torra Doza: "She has this sense of childlike wonder and like she loves her friends and family which is like this deep dedication it's all just friendship and love."
  • Hype Fazon (voiced by Donald Faison)
  • Donald Faison on Hype Fazon:" Hype is the best pilot on the platform, he's a little cocky he's a little full of himself. But then you start to see he actually  cares about his fellow racers."
  • Griff Halloran (played by Stephen Stanton)
  • Stephen Stanton on Griff Halloran: " He's a little rough around edges, Griff's not a guy you want to cross."
  • Freya Fenris (Mary Elizabeth McGylnn)
  • Mary Elizabeth McGylnn on Freya Fenris: "Competitive, hyper logical, if you can't hack it on the team, she's not gonna give you the time of day pretty much."

About the show:

  • Star Wars: Resistance takes place before the events of The Force Awakens. 
  • The one-hour series premiere of Star Wars: Resistance will make its debut on October 7th on Disney Channel (10 pm ET/PT) and DisneyNOW.
  • Two additional new episodes will be available via the DisneyNOW app and Disney Channel VOD, giving kids and families access to the series wherever and whenever they want to watch.
