System Outage at Magic Kingdom Leaves Guests Waiting to Get into the Park

Things don’t always go as planned, even in the most magical place on Earth. A system outage at Magic Kingdom has left guests waiting for hours to get into the park today, according to multiple social media posts.

The outage reportedly only affected guests attempting to enter the park with barcoded tickets and not those entering with a MagicBand.
Some guests described the situation as a “horror show” as they were forced to wait outside the park for up to two hours in the heat.
According to some posts, guests were given free water during their wait.

A Disney spokesperson confirmed that there was an "unfortunate interruption” in the ticketing system, but the system is now reportedly back up and running.
