Every January, NASA invites us to celebrate the lives of fallen astronauts and their bravery and courage to explore beyond our world. Early today, NASA held its annual NASA Day of Remembrance.

- Today, January 23rd, 2025, NASA held their annual Day of Remembrance.
- Taking place at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the tradition is an important part of America’s dedication to science and its commitment to our nation’s heroes.
- The annual ceremony invites us to mourn the loss of fallen heroes that dedicated their lives to space exploration, specifically honoring those aboard Apollo 1, Challenger, and Columbia.
- Throughout the ceremony, speeches, musical performances, and moments of silence all honor the tragic losses of these astronauts as we continue to be inspired by their bravery that led them to explore what lies beyond planet Earth.

- After the ceremony, attendees were invited to head out to the National Space Mirror Memorial where they were given the opportunity to lay flowers down for those that gave their lives for the betterment of humanity.
