SeaWorld San Diego Reveals Opening Date for Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience Immersive Exhibit

This highly anticipated addition to the park will welcome guests beginning Saturday, March 15th.

After a delay from its originally announced opening in 2024, SeaWorld has finally revealed a concrete opening date for its new Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience exhibit this spring.

What’s happening:

  • SeaWorld San Diego has announced the opening date for its new Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience immersive exhibit– Saturday, March 15th.
  • This unique exhibit will offer SeaWorld San Diego guests “a unique blend of unusual aquaria, diverse jelly species, and immersive media to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience never before encountered."
  • Annual Pass Members for the Southern California theme park will have access to a preview of the experience prior to its official opening, though no further details are available for that just yet.

Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience will house three individual galleries, which will be home to a number of different species of jellyfish: Realm of Jellies – A Story of Water and Light, The Jellyfish Passage, and Medusa Gallery. Also featured will be one of the largest jelly cylinders in the country, a walk-through archway filled with jellyfish, a cascading waterfall, and a “fully immersive LED room that brings the wonders of the ocean to life through eight digital chapters of ocean exploration." Interactive habitats will offer guests the opportunity to get up-close-and-personal with the denizens of the exhibit.
