SeaWorld San Diego Hosting First Ever Fins & Flippers 5K this Spring

It’s time to head to the starting line at SeaWorld San Diego! This April, in their second ever 5K event, the California park invites you to join in their first annual Fins & Flippers 5K running and walking event.
What’s Happening:
- After the success of their Howl-O-Sprint 5K event, SeaWorld San Diego is inviting guests to lace up with them again this Spring.
- On April 13th at 7AM, the first annual Fins & Flippers 5K will invite friends of all ages and fitness levels to embark on a 3.1 mile journey through the park.
- Located on Mission Bay, the gorgeous and scenic park, as well as their stunning animals and exhibits will be featured on the course.
- While participants’ walk or run around the park, photo opportunities and meet and greets will be scattered throughout the course.
- All 5K participants will receive an official race shirt, bib with timing cheap and a finisher medal.
- SeaWorld will also be handing out special awards to participants who qualify, including special prizes for the top three finishers. The 5K’s overall top three will receive two single day tickets to SeaWorld San Diego and a $150 gift certificate to Road Runner Sports. Additionally, the top three male and female finishers in each age division will also receive two single day tickets to SeaWorld San Diego.
- The same day, younger runners and walkers can sign up for the Kids 1K Fun Run, which also includes a race shirt, bib and medal.
- Ocean-themed attire, accessories, and costumes are highly encouraged. Masks will not be permitted, however.
- Continuing their commitment to conservation, a portion of registration fees will be donated to the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund, which supports over 540 marine-focused projects worldwide.
- Registration for the Fins & Flippers 5K costs $45 from now until February 17th, with pricing going up to $50 after that. Pricing for the Kids 1K Fun Run starts at $25 and will increase as the event draws closer.
